Maxillary sinus floor augmentation (also termed sinus lift, sinus graft, sinus augmentation or sinus procedure) is a surgical procedure which aims to increase the amount of bone in the posterior maxilla (upper jaw bone), in the area of the premolar and molar teeth, by lifting the lower Schneiderian membrane (sinus membrane) and placing a bone graft.

Navigation and positioning apparatus for maxillary sinus lift surgery

Disclosed in the present invention is a navigation and positioning apparatus for maxillary sinus lift surgery, belonging to the technical field of medical devices. The technical problems in the prior art of increased surgical difficulty and elevated surgical risk caused by invisibility during the maxillary sinus lift procedure are solved. The present invention comprises a navigation and positioning device, a connecting shaft detachably connected to the navigation and positioning device, and a stripping head detachably connected to the connecting shaft for a maxillary sinus mucosa stripping operation. The present invention combines the maxillary sinus lift instrument with the navigation and positioning device recognizable by a visual navigation instrument, such that the functions of guidance and positioning, as well as positioning of the stripping depth and range, can be effectively achieved, thereby effectively reducing the difficulty and surgical risk of maxillary sinus lift surgery. Moreover, a detachable connection mode is used both between the stripping head and the connecting shaft, and between the connecting shaft and the navigation and positioning device, such that an operator can select a suitable elevator according to the specific condition of a patient, which can increase the application range and the convenience of use of the maxillary sinus lift instrument.

Method for surgical removal of pathological contents of maxillary sinuses before sinus lifting

ActiveRU2865398C1Endotracheal anaesthesiaNasal passages
FIELD: otorhinolaryngology.SUBSTANCE: under endotracheal anesthesia, an endoscope equipped with optics and an instrument for removing pathological contents of the maxillary sinus are inserted into the nasal passage. The inferior nasal concha is displaced medially using a raspatory. Then, stepping back from the edge of the piriform opening by 1.5–2.0 cm in the caudal direction, a mucoperiosteal flap of the lateral wall is separated in the lower nasal passage. The mucoperiosteal flap is displaced posteriorly, exposing the bone skeleton in the projection of the inferomedial angle of the maxillary sinus. Next, using a cold plasma coblator, in ablation mode, the mucous surface of the bone skeleton is evaporated for 2–3 seconds, followed by coagulation of small vessels. Then, a bone valve measuring 10–15 mm is formed from the exposed bone skeleton. The bony valve is retracted in the caudal direction, forming an antrostomy. A 70-degree endoscope is inserted through the formed antrostomy and the pathological contents of the sinus are visualized. In this case, if the cyst is visualized with a coblator in ablation mode, the cyst is evaporated along with its contents, and the remaining cyst is captured and removed. If a polyp is visualized, the polyp stalk is first evaporated, and then the remaining part of the polyp is removed. If a foreign body is visualized, it is removed with forceps. In this case, if the foreign body is encapsulated or located in the thickness of the mucosa, a coblator in ablation mode evaporates part of the mucosa until the foreign body is exposed, and then removed. Next, the sinus cavity is washed with saline solution. The antrostomy is closed with a bone flap. The formed mucoperiosteal flap is placed back in its original place.EFFECT: method allows for endoscopic endonasal removal of pathological contents from the maxillary sinuses with a minimal risk of cyst / polyp recurrence and postoperative complications, reduced blood loss during surgery, shortened surgical time, postoperative rehabilitation periods, and temporary disability.3 cl, 3 ex

Maxillary sinus lifting elastic limiting drill bit

ActiveCN223914232UDental implantsSinus liftMaxillary antrum
The elastic limiting drill bit comprises a ball drill, a sleeve, an elastic piece and a transmission rod, a first groove is formed in one end of the ball drill, a second groove is formed in one end of the transmission rod, the two ends of the elastic piece are contained in the first groove and the second groove respectively, and the elastic piece is used for driving the transmission rod and the ball drill to be separated so as to disconnect meshing. According to the elastic limiting drill bit for lifting the maxillary sinus, after an alveolar bone is polished, under the condition that no external force is applied, the springback elastic force of the elastic piece enables the ball drill to be automatically separated from the transmission rod, the transmission rod drives the sleeve to idle, and therefore the ball drill is made to idle, and the maxillary sinus can be prevented from being damaged by the ball drill. The elastic piece is installed in the first groove and the second groove, so that the elastic piece is prevented from being in contact with the inner wall of the sleeve to be abraded, and the possibility that the elastic piece is clamped in a gap between the sleeve and the transmission rod or the ball drill is avoided.
