The invention provides a compound
check dam water and
soil conservation method, and relates to the
check dam water and
soil conservation method. The invention aims to overcome different exposed disadvantages of an existing uni-structure
check dam in controlling an eroded gully channel. The method comprises the steps that a plurality of stone check dams are laid along the eroded gully channel, andin half a year after the stone check dams are built, a
willow check dam is laid on the upper
stream of each stone check dam in the first spring or autumn. According to the compound check dam water andsoil conservation method, provided by the invention, the stone check dams and the
plant check dams are combined organically; the stone check dams are on the down
stream, and the
plant check dams areon the upper
stream; in half a year after the construction of the stone check dams, an upper stream section is silted into a
siltation area by
silt carried by runoff, and warp soil in the
siltation area is fertile, is suitable for
plant growth, is beneficial to the survival of the plant check dams, and improves preserving rate of the plant check dams; a
revegetation problem in controlling the eroded gully channel is solved, and at the same time, the
impact resistance of the downstream stone check dams can be relieved; and the
water damage rate of the stone check dams is lowered. The compound check dam water and
soil conservation method provided by the invention is suitable for water and soil
erosion control of the eroded gully channels with serious water and
soil loss in rolling hilly areas, low mountain and hill areas and the like.
