Abstract

The invention relates to a method for combining a thermal pump water heater with a solar water heater and a water heating system thereof, in particular to the method and the system thereof which can fully utilize the solar energy and utilize a thermal pump for heating when the sunshine is not enough. The invention aims at vastly decreasing the electricity consumption. The invention has the theory that a working mode of the water heating system, that is, a solar heating mode or a thermal pump heating mode, is determined according to a temperature signal on a solar thermal collection board. The cold water enters a water heating tank after passing through the thermal collection board. When the sunshine is enough, the cold water is heated on the thermal collection board to a certain temperature until the water level of the water heating tank reaches a preset water level; if the water temperature fails to reach the preset temperature, the thermal pump heating mode is started to heat the water to the preset temperature. When in the thermal pump working mode, the thermal collection board is used as an indirect evaporator of the system; the temperature of the thermal collection device is decreased so as to absorb the thermals of mediums such as sunshine, air and rain water, etc., from outside so as to supply the thermal pump system with thermal source to produce hot water with high efficiency. As the water heating system has a nearly limitless large EER when in solar heating mode and also has higher efficiency than other common wind source thermal pumps when in thermal pump working mode, the annually comprehensive heating efficiency of the system is far higher than that of a wind source thermal pump water heating system. The system of the invention only consumes less than 20 percent of energy consumptions of a gas water heater or an electric water heater, thereby being low in operation cost.
