Abstract

The present invention provides a method for measuring the mechanical water content of blast furnace gas. The invention is characterized in that the chlorine ion in the circulating water of blase furnace gas wet-type purifying system is taken as the detecting object. The water sample is taken at the inlet of sedimentation tank. The content of chlorine ions in the circulating water is measured. Thewater is sampled in a gas sampling period. Then the chlorine ion in the sampled gas condensation water at the outlet of blast furnace wet-type purifying system is taken as the detecting object for measuring the content of chlorine ions in the condensation water. The method of the invention has the advantages of less measuring factor, low requirement for the environmental condition and less observation error. The method of the invention is better for measuring the mechanical water content of gas at the outlet of blast furnace gas wet-type purifying system. Furthermore the measuring result can truly guide the production operation. Simultaneously the labor capacity of working personnel is reduced. The frequent recording of temperature and pressure of each segment of gas in the detecting process of condensation method is not required.
