Embodiment 1
[0060] Example 1: Example at 20°C and pH 11.3
[0061] 50% L-lysine solution in an amount of 763.69 g and L-threonine crystals in an amount of 50.12 g (they were obtained from commercial sources (Ajinomoto Eurolysine S.A.S., (50% L-lysine; Lot (lot number) 6256) , (L-threonine; Lot 6255))) were mixed in a 1 L glass flask. Then an amount of 61.83 g of 50% caustic soda (sodium hydroxide solid; Merck KGaA, reagent grade (purity >99%)) was added to adjust the pH to 11 at room temperature. The solution was concentrated to about 1.6 times using a rotary evaporator (pressure: 100 mbar, water bath temperature: 60° C.). As a result, crystal precipitation was observed. The slurry was stirred overnight at room temperature (20° C.) so that the saturated solution did not become supersaturated. Then, the saturated solution was separated from the crystals by centrifugation at 4000 rpm for 30 min at 20°C (J2-21M / E-Beckman, rotor JA-14). Viscosity and content of L-lysine, L-threonine, sodi...
Embodiment 2
[0068] Example 2: Example at -5°C and pH 12
[0069] A 514.20 g amount of L-lysine solution (which has an L-lysine concentration of 61.46% and a pH adjusted to 10.98 at 20° C.) and a 441.79 g amount of L-threonine solution (which has a 42.93% L-lysine concentration and pH adjusted to 11.02 at 20°C) were mixed in a 1 L glass flask. The 61.46% L-lysine solution was evaporated from a commercial source (Ajinomoto Eurolysine S.A.S., (50% L-lysine; Lot 6256)) using a rotary evaporator (pressure: 100 mbar, water bath temperature: 60 °C) and the 42.93% L-threonine solution was also obtained from a commercial source (Ajinomoto Eurolysine S.A.S., (L-threonine; Lot 7158)). The resulting mixed solution of L-lysine and L-threonine was stirred overnight at room temperature and cooled to -5°C. The solution was maintained at -5°C with stirring for 48 hours, then overnight under static conditions. As a result, crystal precipitation was observed. Then, the saturated solution was separated f...
