Embodiment 1
[0067] Example 1: Design and preparation of several monofunctional, low molecular weight, epoxy functional, low epoxy content capped additive. The components used and specific production conditions are shown in Tables 1 and 2 below, respectively.

Embodiment 2
[0079] Example 2: The capping additive designed and prepared in the above-mentioned Example 1 was used as a processing aid for polylactic acid (PLA 4042D, Natureworks Corporation) to evaluate it. The conditions of the mixing drum are shown in Table 6 below. The reaction was carried out in a Brabender conical twin screw extrude. Under the condition that the end-capping compound concentration is 8~10% by weight, observe the change of low torque value to time, such as figure 1 , showing successful capping.

Embodiment 3
[0082]Example 3: The end-capped PLA designed and prepared in Example 2 above was evaluated for chain extension treatment. Chain extenders were designed and prepared according to the guidelines of US Patent Nos. 6,984,694 and 6,552,144. The mixing drum conditions are shown in Table 7 below. The reaction was carried out in a Brabender conical twin-screw extruder. demonstrated that capped, chain-extended PLA blends prepared with capping compounds at concentrations of 8-10 wt. % were similar to fresh PLA without any additives, as figure 2 shown.
