Problems solved by technology

[0014] Even if the antenna device of Patent Document 1 can be switched so that different directivities can appear, it cannot realize the states of different directivities at the same time.
The portable wireless device of Patent Document 2 requires a plurality of antennas (plate-shaped conductors), so the structure is complicated. Furthermore, like the antenna device of Patent Document 1, even if it can be switched so that different directivities can appear, it cannot be realized at the same time. different directional states
The portable wireless device of Patent Document 3 cannot switch directivity, and cannot simultaneously realize states of different directivities
Although the antenna devices of Patent Documents 4 and 5 simultaneously transmit and receive a plurality of wireless signals with low correlation with each other, they cannot realize states of different directivities at the same time.

no. 1 Embodiment approach

[0088] figure 1 It is a block diagram showing the configuration of the antenna device 101 and the wireless signal processing circuit 111 of the wireless communication device according to the first embodiment of the present invention. The antenna device 101 of the present embodiment has a rectangular antenna element 102 equipped with two different feeding points 104a, 104b, and the antenna element 102 is excited as a first antenna part via the feeding point 104a, and simultaneously passes through the feeding point 104a. 104b excites the antenna element 102 as the second antenna unit, whereby a single antenna element 102 operates as two antenna units.

[0089] The antenna device 101 of the present embodiment is characterized by further including the slot S1 , thereby creating isolation between the feeding points 104 a and 104 b at a predetermined frequency, and further forming a predetermined current path around the slot S1 . The current path includes a width in the specified d...

no. 2 Embodiment approach

[0111] Figure 11 It is a block diagram showing the configuration of the antenna element 102 of the wireless communication device according to the second embodiment of the present invention. The antenna device of the present embodiment is characterized in that a reactance element 121 is provided at a predetermined position along the slot S1 in order to adjust the resonant frequency of the antenna element 102 and the frequency at which high isolation can be ensured.

[0112] Figure 11 Antenna element 102 in addition to figure 1 Except for the structure, the position along the slit S1 at a predetermined distance from the opening A of the slit S1 ( Figure 11 The center is the position of opening A) equipped with a reactance element 121 . as reference Figure 12 and Figure 13 As will be described later, since the resonant frequency of the antenna element 102 and the frequency at which high isolation can be ensured vary depending on the length of the slot S1, the length of ...

no. 3 Embodiment approach

[0123] Figure 14 It is a block diagram showing the configurations of the antenna device 101 and the wireless signal processing circuit 111 of the wireless communication device according to the third embodiment of the present invention. The antenna device 101 of the present embodiment is characterized in that, instead of the reactance element 121 of the second embodiment, an isolation frequency adjustment circuit 131 whose reactance value is changed under the control of the controller 119 is provided. Thus, the antenna device 101 of the present embodiment can change the frequency at which a high degree of isolation can be ensured between the feeding points 104a and 104b.

Abstract

An antenna element has a slit including a first portion and a second portion, the first portion extending in a first direction so as to separate first and second feed points from each other, and the second portion extending in a second direction different from the first direction. The slit is configured to resonate at an isolation frequency to produce isolation between the first and second feed points, and configured to form a current path around the slit. A current distribution along the current path generated by exciting through the first feed point is different from a current distribution along the current path generated by exciting through the second feed point, thus providing different radiation characteristics by the different current distributions.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention mainly relates to an antenna device for a mobile wireless communication device such as a cellular phone, and a wireless communication device including the antenna device. Background technique [0002] The miniaturization and thinning of portable wireless communication devices such as mobile phones are rapidly progressing. In addition, portable wireless communication devices are not only used as existing telephones, but also converted into data terminals for sending and receiving e-mails, browsing WWW (World Wide Web)-based web pages, and the like. The information to be processed has also increased in capacity from conventional audio and text information to photographs and moving images, and further improvement in communication quality is being sought. Under such circumstances, antenna devices capable of switching directivity have been proposed. [0003] Patent Document 1 discloses an antenna device including a rectangular conduc...
