Abstract

The invention discloses a preparation method of ultralow-molecular-weight polyacrylamide of which the molecular weight is (0.5-2.0)*10<4>, belonging to the field of high polymer synthesis. The preparation method adopts a water solution polymerization method and comprises the following steps: by using isopropanol as a heat-transfer solvent, phosphate as a chain-transfer agent and ammonium persulfate as an initiator, continuously, respectively and dropwisely adding an acrylamide solution and an initiator solution, and carrying out polymerization reaction at the reflux temperature of 75-82 DEG C, wherein the consumptions of the isopropanol, phosphate and initiator are regulated to synthesize the ultralow-molecular-weight polyacrylamide of which the molecular weight is (0.5-2.0)*10<4>. The ultralow-molecular-weight polyacrylamide synthesized by the method has favorable water solubility, and is suitable to be used as high-polymer co-emulsifiers, dispersants, textile assistants and the like.
