Example Embodiment

[0015] Example

[0016] Such as figure 1 As shown, the IGBT temperature detection method of this embodiment includes the following steps:

[0017] The first step is to first connect the NTC thermistor to the power supply via a three-terminal regulator, and then use the resistor to divide the voltage in series to make the current through the NTC thermistor basically 4mA; collect the voltage signal on the NTC thermistor;

[0018] In the second step, the V-F conversion unit with conversion chip and peripheral circuit converts the voltage signal into a frequency signal at a ratio of 1V:1KHz;

[0019] The third step, the transmitting unit first converts the frequency signal into an optical signal, and then transmits the optical signal to the receiving unit through the optical fiber;

[0020] The fourth step, the receiving unit first restores the optical signal to a frequency signal, and then transmits the frequency signal to the control unit; the control unit includes a DSP chip TMS320F2812 ...

Abstract

The invention relates to an IGBT (insulated gate bipolar translator) temperature detecting method. The method comprises the following steps: firstly, acquiring a voltage signal on an NTC (negative temperature coefficient) thermistor; secondly, converting the voltage signal into a frequency signal by a V-F (voltage-frequency) converting unit; thirdly, converting the frequency signal into an optical signal by a transmitting unit and subsequently transmitting the optical signal to a receiving unit; fourthly, restoring the optical signal into a frequency signal by the receiving unit and subsequently transmitting the frequency signal to a control unit; and fifthly, firstly detecting the frequency of the frequency signal and calculating the IGBT temperature by the control unit so as to accomplish the detection. According to the method, as an optical fiber is adopted to transmit signals, the electromagnetic interference resistance is strong, so that the method is applicable for being used in situations which highly require the anti-electromagnetic interference resistance; by acquiring the voltage of the NTC thermistor, the IGBT temperature can be detected; the real time monitoring function is achieved; the IGBT is prevented from being burned because of overheat; the procedures of the whole method are simplified; the cost of adopted hardware is low; and the application cost is reduced greatly.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to an IGBT temperature detection method, in particular to an optical fiber-based IGBT temperature detection method, which belongs to the technical field of power electronics. Background technique [0002] Industrial GBT (insulated gate bipolar transistor) modules are widely used in the field of power electronics, and are relatively expensive components. And overheating is one of the main causes of its damage. At present, most of the purchased IGBT driver boards are not designed with over-temperature protection; the common practice is to install a temperature sensor on the heat sink close to the IGBT module, collect the temperature signal into the processor, and calculate the surface temperature of the heat sink through the sampled value To estimate the temperature inside the IGBT; the temperature measured by this method is not very reliable, and the installation position of the temperature sensor on the radiator, thermal resistan...
