Abstract

The invention discloses a system for audio and video on-demand broadcast based on visible light wireless communication. The system comprises an access point, a mobile terminal, an on-demand broadcast control module and an audio and video database, and the access point comprises an information modulation module and a light emitting diode. The mobile terminal comprises an optical receiver, an information retrieval module, a central processing unit, a display control panel and a cellular mobile communication network data transmission module, and an output end of the information modulation module is connected with the light emitting diode. Received optical signals of the light emitting diode are converted into digital signals by the optical receiver through the information retrieval module, and the information retrieval module transmits the digital signals to the central processing unit. The invention further discloses a method for audio and video on-demand broadcast based on visible light wireless communication. By the system and the method, conventional radio frequency communication is replaced by visible light wireless communication, wireless high-speed multimedia information services are provided for users in hot spots, wireless transmission resources of a cellular mobile communication system are saved, and illuminating and communicating are carried out simultaneously.
