The invention further provides a method for authenticating root morphological characteristics of drought resistant peanut varieties on the basis of the peanut culturing device. According to the invention, quantitative indexes, which are changed with development progress under slight water stress, of roots of the different drought resistant peanut varieties can be accurately detected; the root morphological characteristics of the drought resistant peanut varieties are authenticated through comparing the root morphological characteristics of the different drought resistant peanut varieties; moreover, the whole peanut culturing device and system are simply structured, the detecting method is simple and convenient in operation, and accurate and reliable results are obtained.
