Abstract

The invention relates to a detection method of distance expansion target based on a reverberation covariance matrix. The detection method includes that a group of echo data is obtained through a sonar array, and main data and auxiliary data with the same reverberation covariance matrix are selected from the group of the echo data. Through utilization of the main data, the auxiliary data and the pseudosymmetry characteristic of the reverberation covariance matrix, pseudosymmetry representation information of the reverberation covariance matrix is computed and sampled. The pseudosymmetry representation information of the main data, the pseudosymmetry representation information of the reverberation covariance matrix in maximum likelihood estimation and the structure of the reverberation covariance matrix have predetermined pseudosymmetry characteristics, and a detection statistical amount is calculated through supplement of nominal guide vector of the distance expansion target. The distance expansion target is judged whether exists through a compared result of the detection statistical amount and a predetermined threshold value. The priori characteristic of the reverberation covariance matrix is utilized, and detection performance is quite good on the condition of small sample auxiliary data. Performance of high-resolution active sonar under an uneven environment is effectively improved.
