Embodiment 1
[0090] Example 1 - Preparation of Formulations
[0091] Formulation A was prepared by adding 50 g Solvent Blue-104, 3 g AEROSIL R-972, 0.1 g Doverphos S-9228T and 0.1 g Irganox 1010 to 46.8 g DIPLAST TM7-9 using a high shear mixer.
[0092] 50g Solvent Blue-104, 3g AEROSIL R-972, 0.1g Doverphos S-9228T and 0.1g Irganox 1010 were added to 46.8g by using a high shear mixer In TM / ST, Formulation B was prepared.
[0093] 60g Solvent Blue-104 and 2g AEROSIL R-972 were added to 38g by using a high shear mixer In TM / ST, Formulation C was prepared.
[0094] Formulation D was prepared by adding 60 g Solvent Blue-104 and 2 g AEROSIL R-972 to 38 g RV-5043 using a high shear mixer.
[0095] Formulation E was prepared by adding 62 g Solvent Blue-104, 0.1 g Doverphos S-9228T and 0.1 g Irganox 1010 to 37.8 g PEG200 Dierucate.

[0096] Example 2 - General method of introducing the formulation into PET used to make fibers
[0097] The apparatus used for this method is shown in figure 1 , the figure shows a hopper 1 for feeding additives into an extruder containing PET at the feed throat. Alternatively, the additive can be injected into the PET melt at location 2 using injection device 4 . Die pressure can be measured at position 3. The mixture is spun by the spinning head 6 .
[0098] In the examples described below, the liquid formulation was introduced into the PET fibers at the feed throat. Using a pilot fiber line (FET pilot line serial number C0037) with a single screw L / D 24:1 with a removable mixing head with a compression ratio of 2.5:1 at a throughput of 3kg / h, using a 72-hole spinneret, a draw ratio of 3:1, and a roll speed of 300m / min (bottom), 600m / min (middle), 900m / min (top). Thus, the final fiber diameter was about 20 μm.
[0099] The liquid formulation can be added to the ext...
Embodiment 3
[0104] Example 3 - Testing of Formulations
[0105] Tensile measurements were performed using a Hounsfield HTE M series tensiometer or an automatic Statimat M (Textechno). When using Hounsfield, a bundle of 72 samples (135 mm long) was stretched at 150 cm / min using a 100 N load cell. When using the Statimat, a single strand sample (200 mm long) was stretched at 400-500 mm / min (to achieve a test time of about 20 seconds) using a 100 N load cell. 25 measurements were taken per spool, providing an average result.
[0106] Results are provided in Table 1.

[0108] POY Sample Notes
[0109] Note: dtex = decitex, which measures the weight of yarn per unit length. Daniel is another term known in the industry for fiber weight.
[0110] FDY Sample Notes
[0111] Similar good samples were prepared with Formulations C and D.
