Abstract

The sensor is arranged at an outer surface of a girdle-shaped insulating layer of an XLPE power cable accessory by employing a seamless welding way, so that an ultrahigh frequency signal can be transmitted beneficially, accuracy of partial discharge detection of the XLPE power cable is improved, and the original insulation and electric field distribution of the XLPE power cable accessory can be prevented from being damaged. When the ultra high frequency (UHF) sensor that is arranged by seamless welding is used, a corona or suspension discharging phenomenon can be effectively avoided, thereby substantially improving accuracy of the partial discharge detection of the XLPE power cable. And more importantly, the UHF sensor provided by the invention is in a sheet shape and can be cut and installed at site according to thickness of the XLPE power cable accessory, thereby substantially simplifying the installing process, improving the work efficiency, lowering manufacturing and using costs and thus substantially enhancing universality of the sensor.
