Abstract

The invention discloses a method for link available bandwidth estimation suitable for ad hoc network concurrent access. The method comprises the steps that firstly, the maximum throughput of a link is determined according to a concurrence access mechanism protocol based on control gaps; secondly, occupation information of surrounding links is recorded by nodes through monitoring and the available sending duration and the available receiving duration of the nodes are estimated; thirdly, on the basis, the occupation information of the surrounding links are periodically interacted by each node and the neighbor nodes, so that the probability that the link sending node and the link receiving node occupy a channel at the same time is determined and the available bandwidth of the links is preliminarily estimated; finally, the probability of transmission failure caused by the fact that a new service is added to the receiving node is forecasted, the preliminarily-estimated value of the available bandwidth of the links is corrected based on the probability of transmission failure, and therefore the final available bandwidth of the links is obtained. A simulation experiment in the QualNet simulation environment proves the validity of the method.
