Abstract

The invention discloses a flame-retarding PC (Polycarbonate) / ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) blend material for automobile interior trimmings. The flame-retarding PC / ABS blend material comprises the following formula in a percentage by weight: 60-80% of PC, 10-30% of ABS, 5-15% of halogen-free flame retardant and 3-10% of compound auxiliary. The halogen-free flame retardant in the system is used in combination with the compound auxiliary which consists of magnesium hydroxide, zinc borate and molecular sieve activated powder so as to obtain an excellent effect. The halogen-free flame retardant has a great flame-retarding effect and generates a small quantity of smoke. The compound auxiliary does not contain volatile organic substances and has remarkable heat and smoke absorbing effects after combustion. Due to the adoption of the technical scheme, the flame-retarding performance indexes, such as oxygen indexes and combustion smoke generating quantity, of the flame-retarding PC / ABS blend material for the automobile interior trimmings are obviously improved, the main VOC(Volatile Organic Compounds)index of the blend material is obviously reduced, high environment-friendly performance is represented, and meanwhile, the requirements of the existing automobile interior trimmings on the combustion and VOC performances of the material can be simultaneously met.
