Abstract

The high-current ion beam accelerating tube consists of a plurality of insulating ceramic rings, stainless steel vacuum sealing flanges, cylindrical shielding electrodes, accelerating electrodes, O-shaped vacuum sealing rings arranged in grooves in the end faces of the ceramic rings, and O-shaped buffering rings arranged in grooves in the circumferential outer edge surfaces of the ceramic rings; and adjacent insulating ceramic rings are fixed together by using compression rings, bolts and nuts. By adopting the high-current ion beam accelerating tube, the vacuum sealing problem of a large-diameter high-current accelerating tube is solved, the practical vacuum degree inside the accelerating tube can be up to 10<-5>Pa, and meanwhile the defects of low tensile strength, easiness in leaking air, low vacuum degree and the like in the accelerating tube caused by the application of an insulating glue bonding technology in the prior art can be completely overcome.
