The method comprises the following steps: firstly, dissolving a potassium chloride raw material containing the anti-caking agent into water to form a saturated solution, wherein the dissolving temperature is 20-110 DEG C; then, adding a filter aid into the saturated solution and then carrying out filtration, wherein the addition of the filter aid is 0.1-0.5% of the mass of the saturated solution; crystallizing filtrate, separating and drying crystals to obtain the potassium chloride finished product with the anti-caking agent content being less than 2ppm. The method is reasonable and simple, convenient to operate, low in production cost, high in production capacity, and capable of effectively removing the anti-caking agent out of the potassium chloride raw material in a production process of a food additive potassium chloride.
