Abstract

The invention discloses styrene-acrylic emulsion coating a paper substrate and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method disclosed by the invention comprises the following steps: (1), adding a first mixed component in an emulsification tank, rapidly stirring, slowly adding a mixed monomer of a second mixed component in the emulsification tank, and stirring to form pre-emulsion; (2), adding a third mixed component into a reaction kettle to stir; (3), adding a fourth mixed component when the temperature of the reaction kettle is slowly increased to 76-92 DEG C; and (4), continuously stirring and reacting, simultaneously titrating reactants in the reaction kettle by using a fifth mixed component and the pre-emulsion obtained in the step (1) when the temperature of the reaction kettle is up to 82-95 DEG C, and continuously reacting with heat preservation after titrating so as to obtain the styrene-acrylic emulsion. The styrene-acrylic emulsion disclosed by the invention is reasonable in preparation process, steady in property, low in production cost and good in isolation anti-osmosis property and can be widely applied in all kinds of fields of sealing or sticking; and in particular, the styrene-acrylic emulsion is applied to an adhesive tape of the paper substrate and the like.
