Problems solved by technology

After the continuous low-temperature rain, snow and freezing weather events occurred in southern my country in 2008, the research on environmental exposure effects of extreme weather events of low-temperature rain, snow and freezing in my country has progressed rapidly, especially in the evaluation of abiotic environmental exposure effects. The biological evaluation of the exposure effects of rain, snow and freezing weather events has made slow progress. Existing research accumulations mostly focus on post-disaster investigations and retrospective analysis of affected populations. There are very few studies on the evaluation of biological effects during exposure to low-temperature rain, snow and freezing weather. The reason for this is that It is mainly related to the difficulty in collecting biological signals during exposure to low-temperature rain, snow and freezing weather, which is a bottleneck problem that seriously restricts the evaluation of biological effects during exposure to low-temperature rain, snow and freezing weather
This suggests that at the technical level, there is a great conflict between the current oxygen consumption measurement technology and the technical requirements for oxygen consumption measurement in low-temperature, rainy, snowy and freezing environments. It is necessary to ensure that the exposed subjects will not only not die of suffocation at the technical level, but also Accumulated oxygen consumption can be measured

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for synchronously measuring time allocation and oxygen consumption under a simulated environment of low temperature, rain, snow and freezing, which specifically comprises following steps: preparing small animals; filling an ice storage room with natural ice and snow or making ice until the environment temperature is lower than 0 DEG C of and the relative humidity is greater than 60%, and putting three layers of filter paper on the ice surface; debugging an oxygen consumption measurement device and a video capture device, and inputting a video information to a computer synchronously; putting the small animals on the filter paper, starting a time process and to capture the video, and recording the cumulative oxygen consumption every five minutes; inputting the results of cumulative oxygen consumption to the computer, and calculating the time of each behavior or state and the oxygen metabolism evaluation index; calculating the occurrence frequency of oxygen metabolism signals of each behavior or state; and concluding cold-adapted behavior rules and an energy balance strategy during exposure process according to the calculation results. The biological exposure process in duration of low temperature, rain, snow and freezing weather can be accurately simulated. The method for synchronously measuring the time allocation and the oxygen consumption of exposure bodies under a simulated environment of low temperature, rain, snow and freezing is provided. The essential data is provided for an analysis of cold-adaption strategy of exposure in low temperature, rain, snow and freezing environment.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a method for measuring behavioral responses of animals in extreme climates, in particular to a method for synchronously measuring mammalian individual behavior time allocation and oxygen uptake in a low-temperature, rainy, snow-freezing simulated environment. Background technique [0002] The extreme climate events of low temperature, rain, snow and freezing are not only the main meteorological disasters in the winter half of the year in northern my country, but also the main meteorological disasters in the winter half of the year in the south of my country. Under the background of climate warming, extreme weather events of low temperature, rain, snow and freezing occur frequently all over the world. In the past 10 years, the north and south of my country have been continuously attacked by extreme weather events of low temperature, rain, snow and freezing, and infrastructure has been damaged after the occurrence of extreme weath...
