A control method therefor comprises the steps of: checking whether an ice-making function is turned on; if the ice-making function is turned on, determining whether ice making is in progress or whether the temperature of the ice storage compartment is lower than or equal to a preset first reference temperature; and starting the ice storage compartment cooling operation when ice making is not in progress or the temperature of the ice storage compartment exceeds the first reference temperature.
