Embodiment Construction

[0082] The present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and embodiments.

[0083] The present invention provides a detailed description of a global band radio frequency power amplifier ("global band PA") and a global band radio frequency front end (RFFE) module and accompanying method. The global band power amplifier may comprise at least one broadband radio frequency power amplifier connected to a switch that directs the radio frequency input signal to a plurality of transmission paths, each transmission path being assigned a different frequency. A Global Band RF Front-End Module is a more integrated version of a Global Band PA, which may contain wideband RF PAs, switches, logic controls, filters, duplexers, and other active and passive components. As new wireless frequency bands and wireless standards are introduced and combined with previous wireless frequency bands in a single device, the complexity of the radio frequenc...

Abstract

The invention discloses a global frequency range radio frequency (RF) power amplifier (PA), a global frequency range radio frequency front end (RFFE) module and a system thereof. The global frequency range RF PA can include at least one wide-band PA connected to a switch; the switch can guide an RF incoming signal to a plurality of transmission paths; each transmission path is configured according to different frequencies. The global frequency range RFFE is a more integrated version of the global frequency range RF PA, and can include a wide-band RF PA, a switch, a logic control device, a filter, a diplexer and other active and passive elements.

Description

technical field [0001] US Provisional Patent Application Serial No. 61 / 766,889, filed February 20, 2013, is hereby incorporated by reference in its entirety for all purposes. [0002] The invention relates to a mobile device, in particular to an amplifier, a front-end module capable of communicating in multiple frequency bands and an associated method. Background technique [0003] Radio frequency (radiofrequency, RF) transmission of electronic signals requires corresponding power amplification for predetermined transmission. Radio frequency signals typically have a frequency spectrum ranging from a few million hertz (MHz) to tens of gigahertz (GHz) and beyond. A major component of a cell phone is the radio frequency power amplifier. The linear RF power amplifier (PowerAmplifier, PA) is currently in the form of a semiconductor monolithic microwave integrated circuit (Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit, MMIC), which can use gallium arsenide (GaAs), silicon germanium (S...
