Abstract

The composition is prepared from suberect spatholobus stems, radix smilax riparia, scarlet kadsura roots, rhizoma cyperi, radix achyranthis bidentatae, radix cudramiae, the root of three-nerved spicebush, hyptis suaveolens, sheepear inula herbs and herba hypericum japonicum. Animal pharmacodynamics results show that in an experiment of adjusting the immune function of mice, absorbancy difference between splenocyte culture fluid into which Con A is added and splenocyte culture fluid into which Con A is not added can be remarkably increased, and thymus gland and spleen indexes of the mice are increased. It is hinted that thymus gland and spleen development is promoted by the composition to promote differentiation of T lymphocytes and generation of B lymphocytes.
