Abstract

The invention relates to a preparation method of p-xylene. Using high molecular polymer waste PET as raw material, using RuSnPt catalyst, p-xylene was prepared by high temperature hydrogenation degradation. The specific steps are as follows: put the RuSnPt catalyst and PET in an autoclave with a mass ratio of 1% to 20%, fill hydrogen at room temperature with a pressure of 3 to 7 MPa, a reaction temperature of 240 to 350°C, and a reaction time of 3 to 13 hours . After the reaction, the autoclave is cleaned with a solvent to remove undecomposed PET and catalyst, and the product is separated and purified to obtain p-xylene.
