The heat stabilizer is prepared from the above-mentioned components by uniform mixing and used for polymer flooding in an oil field. The heat stabilizer provided by the invention has high viscosity retention rate under the conditions of high temperature and high salt; the use of the heat stabilizer greatly reduces the concentration of the polymer; and the preparation method provided by the invention is simple, has rapid preparation speed and low cost, and can well improve the strength and the stability of the polymer.
