Abstract

The invention provides a physical layer baseband processor group architecture for software radio. In the architecture, a baseband physical layer digital signal processing unit is divided into a symbol processor, a forward error-correction processor and a parallel bit processor. Based on such a division method, processing efficiency of software radio baseband digital signals can be ensured, and data accuracy, flexibility and function coverage under the premise of low overhead can also be ensured, so that digital signal processing of the software radio baseband covers management of OFDM and single-carriers, baseband processing and digital intermediate frequency processing, symbol processing and hard and soft bit processing, and data flow processing. A baseband control unit can adaptively change configuration of the baseband physical layer digital signal processing unit, so that the processed receiving and transmitting digital signals can adapt to a current communication system, and thus the purpose of using different signal processing modes in the different communication systems can be achieved, and requirements of a modern wireless communication system can be met.
