Embodiment Construction

[0043] Embodiments of the technical solutions of the present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. The following examples are only used to illustrate the technical solutions of the present invention more clearly, and therefore are only examples, rather than limiting the protection scope of the present invention.

[0044] The smart phone-based mobile blind guide system of the present invention is divided into three parts: a basic navigation system, an integrated image processing system and a voice assistance system. The integrated image processing system includes a road surface recognition module for the blind and a traffic intersection recognition module. Among them, the blind road surface recognition module includes four units of blind road image preprocessing, image morphology processing, rough positioning of blind road area and fine positioning of blind road area, and the traffic intersection identification module includes...

Abstract

The invention provides a smartphone based mobile guidance system for a blind person. The mobile guidance system comprises a basic navigation system, a comprehensive image processing system and a voice auxiliary system. The basic navigation system acquires real-time GPS (global positioning system) signals and processes the signals through built-in navigation software of a smartphone to obtain positioning data, and the system makes a plan of an advancing route after the blind person inputs destination information by voice input. The comprehensive image processing system comprises a blind sidewalk recognition module and a traffic intersection identification module, the blind sidewalk recognition module acquires blind sidewalk information in real time by the aid of a camera of the smartphone and processes the information to realize positioning of a blind sidewalk area, and the traffic intersection identification module acquires traffic intersection information by the aid of the smartphone and realizes intersection information identification by positioning of a zebra crossing when the blind person approaches an intersection. The voice auxiliary system converts processing results of each system into corresponding prompt voices which are fed back to the blind person to guide the blind person to move forward.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of digital image processing, in particular to a mobile blind guide system based on smart phones. Background technique [0002] Due to congenital or acquired reasons, the blind (visually impaired) has partial or complete impairment of the structure or function of the visual organs, and cannot make accurate visual recognition of external things. According to the latest survey by the World Health Organization (WHO) in August 2014, there are approximately 285 million visually impaired people worldwide, of which 39 million suffer from blindness, and about 90% of the world's visually impaired live in low-income countries. The number of visually impaired people in my country accounts for 20% of the world's total, about 57 million people, and is the country with the largest population of visually impaired people in the world. When traveling, the visually impaired can usually only rely on municipal basic guide projects (such...
