Abstract

The invention provides a smartphone based mobile guidance system for a blind person. The mobile guidance system comprises a basic navigation system, a comprehensive image processing system and a voice auxiliary system. The basic navigation system acquires real-time GPS (global positioning system) signals and processes the signals through built-in navigation software of a smartphone to obtain positioning data, and the system makes a plan of an advancing route after the blind person inputs destination information by voice input. The comprehensive image processing system comprises a blind sidewalk recognition module and a traffic intersection identification module, the blind sidewalk recognition module acquires blind sidewalk information in real time by the aid of a camera of the smartphone and processes the information to realize positioning of a blind sidewalk area, and the traffic intersection identification module acquires traffic intersection information by the aid of the smartphone and realizes intersection information identification by positioning of a zebra crossing when the blind person approaches an intersection.
