Abstract

The invention relates to a device and a method for preventing a reservoir from eutrophication. The device comprises an aerator arranged at temperature stratification of the bottom of the reservoir, the aerator is connected with an air compressor arranged on the shore through a gas conveying pipeline. By use of the principle that the gas density is less than the water density and the low temperature water density is greater than the high temperature water density, the relatively static water in the reservoir or a lake produces vertical or transverse circulating flows in the underwater exposure process, thereby changing the temperature stratification status and improving the reservoir environment condition about abnormal propagation of the phytoplankton; and the cold water discharge phenomenon and the reservoir and the lake eutrophication problem caused by the reservoir temperature stratification can be solved at the same time.
