Problems solved by technology

[0002] Ionospheric detection radar is an important tool for detecting the ionosphere. The signal processing in traditional ionospheric detection radars relies on hardware. Although it can accurately measure the relevant data of the ionosphere, its price is generally high. Hardware upgrades and maintenance are very inconvenient. When it is necessary to change the detection requirements, it is often not flexible enough because the detection hardware is fixed.
The use of traditional ionospheric detection radars to study and detect the ionosphere is too costly, not flexible enough, not open enough, and not convenient enough

Embodiment Construction

[0018] In order to make the object, technical solution and advantages of the present invention clearer, the present invention will be further described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and embodiments. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described here are only used to explain the present invention, not to limit the present invention.

[0019] The full name of USRP is Universal Software Radio Peripheral Equipment, which realizes the transmission and reception of radio frequency signals. It consists of a motherboard and different daughterboards. In the embodiment of the present invention, the motherboard includes four 12bit / 64M analog / digital converters (ADC), four 14bit / 128M digital / analog converters (DAC), and a reprogrammable FPGA chip. Four daughter boards can be installed on each USRP motherboard, two of which are used for receiving and the other two are used for transmitting. By connecting different sub-boards, USRP can pro...

Abstract

The invention discloses an ionosphere detection method and system; the method comprises the following steps: using a USRP to emit electromagnetic waves of a set frequency and to receive electromagnetic wave reflected by the ionosphere, and recording emitted and received electromagnetic wave information; allowing the USRP to communicate with a computer through a gigabit internet access, and the computer uses the emitted and received electromagnetic wave information to calculate the ionosphere height, ionosphere electron density and ionosphere electron radial speed under the set electromagnetic wave emission frequency; changing the USRP emitted electromagnetic wave frequency, obtaining the ionosphere heights, ionosphere electron densities and ionosphere electron radial speeds under different electromagnetic wave emission frequencies, and drawing an ionosphere distribution map. The advantages are that the USRP communicates with the computer through the gigabit internet access, thus emitting and receiving electromagnetic waves, and primarily processing the signals; the computer can calculate complex signal processes and related detection targets, and the USRP and the programmed computer can detect the ionosphere with low cost; the ionosphere detection method is flexible, convenient, high in opening degrees, and easy to maintain.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of radar detection, in particular to an ionospheric detection method and system. Background technique [0002] Ionospheric detection radar is an important tool for detecting the ionosphere. Using traditional ionospheric detection radars to study and detect the ionosphere is too costly, not flexible enough, not open enough, and not convenient enough. Contents of the invention [0003] The purpose of the present invention is to overcome the above-mentioned technical deficiencies, propose an ionospheric detection method and system, and solve the abo...
