The invention relates to a method used for waxing of folium artemisiae argyi rope fiber, and belongs to the technical field of weaving. The method comprises following steps: 1, preparation of folium artemisiae argyi rope fiber, wherein folium artemisiae argyi is smashed, is immersed in a sodium hydroxide solution for 8 to 12h, is washed with clear water repeatedly until pH value of clear water after washing is 7, is dried, and is smashed into short fiber with a size of 60 to 200 meshes; 2, preparation of microcapsule wax fat, wherein the microcapsule wax fat is composed of a wall material and a powdery microcapsule core material, the microcapsule core material is coated by the wall material; and 3, waxing of folium artemisiae argyi rope fiber, wherein the microcapsule wax fat is delivered into a weaving waxing device, and mechanical crushing is adopted to broken microcapsules so that the microcapsule core material adheres between folium artemisiae argyi rope fiber surface an fiber. The method is simple, is capable of increasing folium artemisiae argyi rope fiber cohesive force, reducing yarn dynamic friction coefficient, and reducing fiber frying in workshops.
