The method comprises the following steps that: (1) adding the volume of a storage system into a virtual gateway SVC (Switching Virtual Circuit); (2) converting the added storage volume into an MDisk volume; (3) constructing Mdisk into a virtual storage pool; (4) creating a virtual storage volume in the virtual storage pool; (5) creating a host on the stored virtual gateway SVC; and (6) mapping the virtual storage volume into the host.
