Abstract

The invention discloses an overcurrent protection circuit and method, which are applied to a driving circuit of a liquid crystal panel. The driving circuit comprises a timing control circuit, a levelconverter and a GOA circuit. The overcurrent protection circuit is electrically connected with the timing control circuit and the level converter respectively. The overcurrent protection circuit comprises a switching unit, a current mirror source and a voltage comparator, wherein the switching unit is electrically connected with the current mirror source, the voltage output end of the timing control circuit and the voltage output end of the level converter; the current mirror source is electrically connected with the first end of a charging capacitor, and the second end of the charging capacitor is grounded; and the first input end of the voltage comparator is electrically connected with the common end between the current mirror source and the first end of the charging capacitor, the second input end is used for receiving overcurrent protection threshold voltage, and the output end is coupled with the input end of the level converter.
