Abstract

The invention discloses a tool for machining a large-scale rotating member on a horizontal lathe. The tool comprises a big tool disk, steel plates and adjusting bolts. The 6-8 steel plates are uniformly welded to the same circumference of the back side of the big tool disk. Each steel plate is provided with a threaded hole. The adjusting bolts are outwards screwed into the threaded holes of the steel plates from the circle center. The invention further discloses a machining process for machining the large-scale rotating member on the horizontal lathe. The machining process comprises the stepsof assembling the tool; placing a workpiece on a workbench; mounting the tool; welding a cross brace in an inner pore of the flange end of the workpiece; placing the workpiece on a working platform ofa boring machine; rotating the working platform of the boring machine by 180 degrees; fixing the workpiece, conducting correction, turning the external diameter, the inner end face of a flange and the outer cylindrical surface, and turning the conical surface of the non-flange end and grooves; turning over the workpiece, correcting the workpiece, turning the end face of the flange end and the outer cylindrical surface; discharging the workpiece; and conducting checking and putting the workpiece in storage. The tool provided by the invention is simple in structure, capable of being utilized repeatedly and reasonable in the process. The adopted machining lathe is common, and the machining cost is low.
