Abstract

The invention provides a projection system and method. The projection system comprises a light signal generation apparatus used for loading each sub image circularly based on a preset sequence and generating signal light carrying with information of each sub image, a polarizing apparatus used for converting the signal light into polarized light, a micro-nano antenna array used for converting eachbeam of polarized light into multiple beams of emergent light of different polarized states, and a polarization analyzer used for outputting the emergent light of one polarized state corresponding toeach sub image to an image surface, wherein all the above components are arranged along a light path in sequence; and each polarized state is determined according to a preset rule. The projection method comprises the steps of loading each sub image circularly based on a preset sequence and generating signal light carrying with information of each sub image; converting the signal light into polarized light; converting each beam of polarized light into multiple beams of emergent light of different polarized states; and outputting the emergent light of one polarized state, determined according tothe preset rule, corresponding to each sub image to the image surface. By virtue of the projection system and method provided by the invention, the size of the projection system is reduced.
