Abstract

The battery detection circuit can perform disconnection detection on each cell except the uppermost cell and can distinguish overvoltage and line disconnection of the cells and can take corresponding protection measures, so that lithium battery safety and reliability are improved. The battery detecting circuit enables the gate electrode voltage of a PMOS tube to be VCj+1 which is the voltage of the <j+1>th cell through connecting the jth cell VCj to a source electrode of the high voltage PMOS tube; when disconnection of the jth cell occurs, VCj is firstly pulled up by VCn which is the voltage of the uppermost cell; when VCjis higher than (VCj+1+VGS), the high voltage PMOS is put through and the VCj is pulled down, so that the VCj cannot be pulled too high.
