Abstract

The method mainly comprises the following steps: a polarization maintaining fiber grating is used as a sensing element of an ultrasonic guided wave, narrow-band laser output by a laser device goes through an optic fiber circulator, reaches the polarization maintaining fiber grating, is reflected by the polarization maintaining fiber grating and enters the optical fiber circulator, a photodetector converts a light signal into an electrical signal, and finally a signal display device displays the output signal. The method for obtaining the single-mode ultrasonic guided wave signal uses different response characteristics of the polarization maintaining fiber grating to stress in different directions to inhibit the response to another mode while realizing normal detection of one ultrasonic guided wave (GWs) mode, so the purpose of single-mode ultrasound guided wave response is achieved.
