Abstract

The invention relates to corn straw pyroligneous acid. The corn straw pyroligneous acid is prepared by the following method: (1) taking corn straw as a raw material, cutting the corn straw into smallblocks 2-3cm in length, burning the straw at 500-700 DEG C by using a charring furnace, and collecting distillate at the temperature range to obtain crude pyroligneous acid; and (2) performing secondary reduced pressure distillation, and collecting distillate at 98-103 DEG C to obtain refined pyroligneous acid. The invention also relates to application of the corn straw pyroligneous acid in bacteriostasis and a fruit preservative containing the corn straw pyroligneous acid. The corn straw pyroligneous acid provided by the invention has varying degrees of inhibiting effects on four types of bacteria including shigella, salmonella, listeria monocytogenes and staphylococcus aureus, and three types of molds including penicillium, trichoderma virens and trichoderma reesei, and the bacteriostatic effects on the molds are better than the bacteriostatic effects on the bacteria. The corn straw pyroligneous acid has certain preservation effects and can be used as a fruit preservative.
