[0007] The present invention will be further explained below in conjunction with specific examples.

[0008] A process for processing modified textiles, the process comprising wetting the textile and passing the textile between at least one pair of rollers heated to 100°C to 260°C, wherein the pair of rollers passes through The textile fabric therebetween is applied with a pressure of about 20 psi to about 5800 psi, and wherein said textile fabric is selected from woven, nonwoven and knitted textile fabrics and nonwoven webs of fibers; the water content of the wet textile relative to the weight of the dry textile 8% to 650% of 8% to 650%; where the roller pressure is 8 to 1900psi; where the roller is heated to a temperature of 110°C to 230°C.

[0009] The above examples are given to illustrate the invention, not to limit the scope or use of the invention. Variations may be made in the practice of the processes given herein and in the formation of articles by such processes wi...

Abstract

The invention discloses a machining process for a modified fabric. The machining process comprises the following steps: moistening a fabric, and feeding the fabric through at least one pair of rollerswhich are heated to 100-260 DEG C, wherein the rollers are adopted to exert pressure of about 20-5800psi to the fabric passing through the rollers, the fabric is a woven, non-woven or knitted fabricor a fiber non-woven net fabric, the water content of the wet fabric accounts for 8-65% of the weight of a dry fabric, the pressure of the rollers is 8-1900psi, and the rollers are heated to 110-230 DEG C. By changing one or more parameters, physical properties of the fabric decided by different viscosities can be changed, such as the stiffness or the hand feeling; by changing passing speeds of the fabric between the rollers or the types of the roller, the physical properties of the fabric can be also changed.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a modified textile processing technology. Background technique [0002] Aside from the application of organic chemical plasticizers, the prior art has not found a satisfactory way to obtain good modification of textiles. In the present invention, water acts as a plasticizer. Contents of the invention [0003] It is an object of the present invention to provide a process for the good modification of textiles. [0004] The invention discloses a process comprising wetting the textile and passing the textile between at least one pair of rollers heated to 100°C to 260°C, wherein the pair of rollers passes between The textile is applied with a pressure of about 20 psi to about 5800 psi, and wherein said textile is selected from woven, non-woven and knitted textiles and non-woven webs of fibers; the water content of the wet textile is 8% by weight of the dry textile % to 650%; where the pressure of the roller is 8 to 1900 psi; wh...
