The invention relates to a broadband radar imaging method based on a random intermittent sampling LFM (Linear Frequency Modulation) signal. The broadband radar imaging method comprises the steps of: (1), designing a random intermittent sampling pulse parameter; (2), obtaining an intermittent sampling LFM signal by design; (3), transmitting and receiving the random intermittent sampling LFM signal;and (4), completing imaging processing based on sparse reconstruction of compressed sensing. The broadband radar imaging method in the invention has the main benefits that: for a broadband imaging radar, an imaging method based on the random intermittent sampling LFM signal is provided, so that the anti-interference performance of the radar is improved; the complete LFM signal is partly transmitted and received by the designed random intermittent sampling LFM signal; therefore, the radar sampling data size is reduced; the broadband radar data storage burden is lightened; the broadband radar imaging method is wide in application range, and can be suitable for different systems of imaging radars; and for example, the broadband radar imaging method can be used in SAR and ISAR imaging.
