The method comprises the steps that the shielded reactor coolant pump water filling system is constructed; and water filling is conducted based on the shielded reactor coolant pump water filling system, specifically, the water inlet end valve, the shut-off valve and the main pump water filling / drainage valve are opened at small opening degrees, and the main pump exhaust valve is also opened, thus, the top of the main pump body communicates with atmosphere in the water filling process.
