Abstract

The engine comprises a cam shaft, a front cover and a VVT (Variable Valve Timing) controller, wherein an OCV (Open Circuit Voltage) control valve is mounted on the front cover; an oil path which separately communicates with the OCV control valve and a hydraulic source is arranged in the front cover; the OCV control valve communicates with the VVT controller through the oil path; and corresponding positions of a mounting position of the OCV control valve arranged on the front cover and the front end of the cam shaft are located on the different heights. Through the design, the OCV valve is mounted on the front cover; through design of the inner oil path, the OCV valve communicates with the VVT controller and the hydraulic source; and due to the structure,the extension length of the cam shaft is shortened, the stability of a VVT system is improved, the VVT controller is welded with the front end of the cam shaft without needing welding any longer; andmoreover, by adopting the design of mounting a positioning assembly, connection between the VVT controller and the cam shaft is realized. Through the manner, the assembling coaxiality is improved moreeasily, the axial length of the engine is shortened, and entire-vehicle design is easy. The invention also discloses a vehicle.
