Abstract

The invention relates to the field of machine vision, in particular to a design method for uniform illumination of a light-emitting diode (LED) structural light source. LED arrays in the design methodare not arranged on one same plane. According to the method, an illumination model of a single LED and a luminance equation and an irradiance angle equation at any specified point in the field of view of the model are provided; an illumination model of a plurality of same-color-light LEDs and luminance superposition characteristics of the plurality of same-color-light LEDs at any specified pointare provided; and a uniform illumination design model of an LED structural light source and a uniform illumination design method of an LED annular array structural light source are put forward. The design method can be further decomposed into two sub methods to simplify the design process and reduce the design difficulty. The light source design method can be widely applied to the design process of the structural light source and has broad industrial application prospects.
