Abstract

The present invention discloses a circuit arrangement, signal processor and method for interleaved switching boundary mode power conversion. The circuit arrangement includes at least: an input for receiving an AC input voltage from a power source; an output for providing an output voltage to a load; a first interleaving circuit comprising: a first energy and a first controllable switching device; and one or more secondary interleave circuits, each secondary interleave circuit comprising: a secondary energy storage device; and a secondary controllable switching device; and a signal processor. The signal processor is connected to the controllable switching device and includes: at least a first switching cycle controller configured for cyclic / repeated zero-current switching operation of the first controllable switching device; and one or A plurality of secondary switching cycle controllers configured for cyclic zero current switching operation of the one or more secondary controllable switching devices. The signal processor is configured to disable one or more of the interleaving circuits to reduce zero-crossing time when the AC input voltage is below a first threshold voltage.
