Embodiment

[0249] Samples were prepared using well known standard spunbond manufacturing machines and methods. The polymer material is 100% polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and the filament denier is 4dtex. The spunbonded non-woven material is punched mechanically, using 2 The needling density of 40 needles is reinforced. After needling, the spunbond material is soaked in a binder bath. Excess binder is removed by squeezing action. The fabric is then sent to an oven for drying and curing. The oven temperature was about 220°C. The weight per unit area of the spunbond material and the binder content of the examples can be obtained from Table 1.

[0250] The table below (Table 1 ) shows the results of various parameters measured on samples comprising 100% alpha binder and on samples comprising a binder of the invention having two different compositions.

Abstract

The invention relates to a binder-consolidated textile fabric, a method for its manufacture and its use. Specially, the invention concerns a novel binder system and its use for consolidating textile fabrics, as well as to products containing such consolidated textile fabrics. The materials according to the invention are suitable for the manufacture of reinforcing inserts, optionally in combinationwith at least one further textile fabric, for coated sarking membranes, roofing and waterproofing sheets, as textile backings or textile reinforcement in flooring, in particular in fitted carpets andPVC flooring, or in facers in wall coatings both in the interior and exterior of buildings, as well as in furniture.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to novel adhesive systems for reinforcing textile fabrics, textile fabrics thus reinforced, their manufacture and products containing said adhesive systems or textile surfaces equipped with them. Background technique [0002] Textile fabrics, in particular textile fabrics used as inserts for the production of coating materials, must meet a wide range of requirements. Examples of uses for these inserts are textile backings for custom carpets, textile reinforcements in PVC floor or roofing panels, etc. [0003] When used for the manufacture of roofing panels, the inserts or reinforcing inserts used must have sufficient mechanical stability such as good puncture strength and good tensile strength, which is brought about e.g. after further processing such as bituminization or lamination of. Furthermore, high resistance to thermal stresses, such as in the case of asphalting or against radiant heat, and resistance to flying sp...
