[0125] Example 5 - Antimicrobial Efficacy of Zinc: Lichenate Complex against Oral Bacteria
[0126]Bacteria (A. naesli, L. casei, Streptococcus oralis, Fusobacterium nucleatum and Veilonella parvula) collected from the chemostat were centrifuged at about 15,000 rpm to a volume of about 1 ml. Resuspend the pelleted bacteria in the appropriate zinc: lichenate complex treatment or in sterile medium and ethanol. The tubes were then inverted 3 times and incubated at about 37°C for about 1 hour. After incubation, approximately 1 mL of D / E neutralization broth was added to each sample.
