Abstract

The invention provides a method for inhibiting degradation of starch in banana fruits. A VIGS silencing system is utilized to transfect banana fruits, and the VIGS silencing system includes tobacco rattle viruses pTRV1 and tobacco rattle viruses which contain a sequence shown in SEQ ID NO. 1. The VIGS silencing system for genes which are related to degradation of starch of banana fruits is constructed, and the genes related to the degradation of starch of banana fruits can be silenced effectively. The concentration of a bacterial solution, the ratio of helper virus vectors to expression virusvectors, the cultivation temperature, the infection time and other conditions can be clarified further, all technical steps for silencing the genes successfully can be controlled well, and reduction of the content of total starch and amylose and increase of the content of fructose, glucose, sucrose and other substances can be inhibited effectively in the banana fruits. A good foundation is laid for function verification of the genes related to degradation of starch of banana fruits, and research ideas and technical basis are provided for control on degradation of starch of fruits of bananas orother plants.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of molecular biology, in particular to the technical field of plant genetic engineering, in particular to a method for inhibiting starch degradation of banana fruit and a VIGS silencing system. Background technique [0002] Banana is an important economic crop in tropical and subtropical regions, and it is the second largest fruit in the world after citrus. As the main component of banana fruit, starch has prompted it to be identified by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) as the fourth largest food crop after rice, wheat, and corn, and is the ration of more than 400 million people (Englberger et al. ,2006). However, with the rapid development of the banana industry and the rapid improvement of people's living standards, the requirements for the quality of banana fruit are also getting higher and higher. However, most of the main varieties of bananas are triploid, and it is difficult to...
