The method comprises the following steps: acquiring the position and height of each towerof the power transmission line by utilizing a high-resolution optical satellite remote sensing image; calculating the length of a wire between adjacent towers based on the position and height of eachtower and considering the sag; and calculating the length of the wire actually required for constructing the power transmission line based on the length of the wire between all the adjacent towers. An objective and visual estimation result is provided for a power transmission line engineering investor and an audit department, possible deviation caused by manual field supervision estimation is avoided, the overall estimation efficiency of the power transmission line is improved, and the result is more objective and visual; the method is favorable for improving the fine management level of power transmission line engineering, explores a new technical means for digital auditing, and improves the intelligent level of digital auditing.
