Abstract

The invention discloses a continuous casting funnel-shaped crystallizer molten steel solidification and casting blank simulation device and a using method thereof. The simulation device comprises a steelmaking furnace, a motor driving system, a continuous casting funnel-shaped crystallizer simulation system, a cooling water system and a temperature acquisition system. Accoridng to the device, by simulating a solidification process and a continuous casting process of molten steel in a funnel-shaped crystallizer in thin slab continuous casting production, an initial solidification slab shell with actual thin slab characteristics and a temperature change curve in the crystallizer are obtained, the simulation study on an initial solidification behavior of the molten steel in the funnel-shapedcrystallizer, and influence of the surface quality of a casting blank and continuous casting process parameters on the initial solidification behavior of the molten steel is realized. The device is suitable for simulating production of existing steel types and can also be used for development and research of thin slab continuous casting production of crack-sensitive steel types. Compared with an actual continuous casting industrial production process of a thin slab, the device has the advantages of simplicity and convenience in operation, low experimental cost and the like.
