Abstract

The invention provides a device and a method beneficial to rapid detection of connectivity of a multi-core cable, and a rapid detection method, and solves the problems of long time consumption and lowefficiency of existing multi-core cable connectivity detection. The device comprises a power supply circuit and a light-emitting unit, wherein the power supply circuit is used for screening out a maximum on-resistance core wire in a to-be-detected multi-core cable; an adjustable resistor RX is arranged in the power supply circuit; the light-emitting unit comprises a plurality of light-emitting diodes; after each core wire in the multi-core cable to be tested is connected in series with the light emitting diodes of the light emitting units in a one-to-one correspondence manner, the whole is connected to two ends of the power supply circuit; the power supply circuit provides working voltage for the light-emitting diode, and the on-off conversion of the light-emitting diode is realized by adjusting the adjustable resistor RX. After the core wire with the maximum on-resistance is screened out through the device, the on-resistance of the core wire is measured and compared with a work required value, and therefore whether the connectivity of the multi-core cable is qualified or not is judged.
