Abstract

The invention provides a method for manufacturing a vehicle wheel. The method includes a step of performing an edge treatment including flash removal of a spoke edge generated by lathe machining. The edge treatment uses a cutting tool for non-rotational machining, in which a machining blade having an R-shaped or polygonal C-shaped concave blade tip is formed so as to protrude from the outer peripheral surface of the tip side of a rod-shaped cutting tool connected to a rod-shaped shank. Provided is a machining machine using CNC control of four or more axes. The purpose of the present invention is to maintain a tool rotation direction angle within a range in which an R-shaped or polygonal C-shaped tip shape of a cutting tool can be transferred. The cutting tool is erected relative to the spoke surface, so that the blade tip of the machining blade abuts against the spoke edge and continuously moves relative to the spoke edge along the ridge line of the spoke edge for cutting. A processing surface of the same shape as an R shape or a polygonal C shape which is consistent with the shape of a blade tip of a cutting tool is continuously formed while the flash of the edge of the spoke is removed, so that a coating film can be stably formed on the processing surface of the edge of the spoke by a subsequent coating process.
